The problem
Physicians constantly need to look up fee codes during charting, between patients, or at the end of the day. Pulling up the MSP website, searching through PDFs, or flipping through binders wastes time.
How it works
- 1Trigger via Siri (“MSP fee code”) or tap the shortcut
- 2Enter a fee code number (e.g. 00100) or keyword (e.g. “consultation”)
- 3Searches a built-in dictionary of ~80 common BC MSP fee codes
- 4Displays: Code, Description, Fee Amount
- 5If keyword matches multiple codes, shows a selection list
What you need
- ✓An iPhone or iPad running iOS 16+
- ✓The Shortcuts app (pre-installed on all iPhones)

Download the shortcut
Click the download button below to get the .shortcut file. Open it on your iPhone (AirDrop, email, or iCloud Drive).
Add to Shortcuts
When the file opens, iOS will show you a preview of the shortcut. Tap 'Add Shortcut' to add it to your library.
Try it out
Open the Shortcuts app and tap 'MSP Fee Code Lookup'. Enter a code like '00100' or a keyword like 'surgical'. The result appears instantly.
Set up Siri
Say “Hey Siri, MSP fee code” to trigger the shortcut hands-free. If Siri doesn’t recognise it, go to the shortcut’s settings and add a custom Siri phrase.
